The Castle Hill School of Motoring / Driving Instructor Training, has been established since 1982. Our aim is to provide quality driver training at all levels and to the highest possible standard.

As can be seen from the information below, we offer training for a whole range of driving qualifications, from the basic 'L' test up to the DIAmond Special Test standard.

We also offer Driving Instructor training courses for all three of the Driving Standards Agency qualifying examinations.

Plus Check Test preparation for both newly qualified Driving Instructors and those already established who maybe wish to 'freshen up' their instructional skills.

We also offer Driver Training at all levels for people who are deaf or hard of hearing through our BSL (British Sign Language) trained Driving Instructors.

Intensive Driving courses are available to those who wish to learn over a shorter time.

A little about us and what we do

Here at the Castle Hill School of Motoring / Driving Instructor Training, we have nearly 30 years experience in the driver training industry.

Our Principal Instructor Steve Swinton A.D.I. is a Grade 6 (top grade) Driving Instructor. Since 1982 he has qualified as a DIAmond Advanced Instructor and Supervising Examiner, he is also listed at Grade 6 (top grade) on the 'Ordit' Register (The Official Register of Driving Instructor
Trainers).

In addition to the above he is also a qualified further education teacher and trained in the use of B.S.L (British Sign Language). Steve has been teaching drivers who are deaf or have hearing difficulties for over 18 years.

The Castle Hill School of Motoring / Driving Instructor Training, offers patient constructive 'L' Test training to DSA test standard in modern well maintained Dual Control training vehicles.

Upon successful completion of the 'L' test, we offer 'Pass Plus' training which is endorsed by the DSA (Driving Standards Agency) and members of the British Insurance Industry.

As well as helping to reduce the risk of accidents, the Pass Plus scheme can offer new drivers substantial discounts on insurance premiums. (Discounts may vary depending on status and insurance company)

For the more ambitious, we can offer training for the DIAmond Advanced Driving test, or if you prefer the ultimate challenge, why not train for the DIAmond Special test.
